Liz Miles is an author and library campaigner. Her many publications include fiction and non-fiction for children, with subjects ranging from time travel and prehistory to biographies and the arts. She is passionate about children's literacy and loves writing books that challenge readers' expectations, inspire new thinking, and bring facts to life. Many of her publications have been sold around the world. She lives and works in the southwest of England, a stone's throw from the sea.
Big Cat for Little Wandle Fluency has been developed in collaboration with Wandle Learning Trust and Little Sutton Primary School. It consists of a range of chapter books with increasing word counts across 10 fluency levels aimed at children in Year 2 and 3. Each book builds reading confidence, stamina and speed and nurtures a love for reading. Fluency 9 books have a word count of 5520 words with an expected reading rate of 115 words per minute. Maria's uncle is missing and in his empty house she's discovered a time machine! Maria must piece together the clues and see if she can find him. But where and when is he?
