She has coauthored numerous articles focusing on academic English, literacy coaching, literacy assessment, and reading motivation. Erica is the author of <i>What the Science of Reading Says: Literacy Strategies for Grades 1–2</i> and the coauthor of <i>Building Academic Language Through Content-Area Text</i>. She is a former elementary school teacher and reading specialist. </p><br>
